Fishing for bass in the foaming surf for the wild sea bass has long drawn anglers to Westward Ho! It’s fabulous North Atlantic storm beach is one of the finest on the peninsular and as the sunsets in the west it is often possible to see the big bass silhouetted in the curling waves! A huge variety of techniques to catch bass of Westward Ho! beach can be used. One of the most popular is fishing with a red gill and bubble float at the eastern end of the beach, you can even catch them on a white fly in a local hot-spot known as Zulu water. Westward Ho! rocks is another exciting venue and hear the locals fish with big plugs in the hope of tempting one of our huge rock bass!
