Summerlands Tackle stocks a wide range of fly lines to suit all fishing conditions and fish species. Whether you are fishing for trout, salmon, or sea bass, Summerlands Tackle has the right fly line for you.
Types of Fly Lines
There are three main types of fly lines:
Floating fly lines: These lines are designed to float on the surface of the water. They are ideal for fishing dry flies and nymphs.
Sinking fly lines: These lines are designed to sink below the surface of the water. They are ideal for fishing streamers and wet flies.
Intermediate fly lines: These lines are designed to sink slowly below the surface of the water. They are ideal for fishing dry flies and nymphs in deeper water, or for fishing streamers and wet flies in shallower water.
Fly Line Weights
Fly lines are also classified by weight. The weight of the fly line determines how far it can be cast and how quickly it will sink. Lighter fly lines are easier to cast but they will sink more slowly. Heavier fly lines are more difficult to cast but they will sink more quickly.
Choosing the Right Fly Line
The type and weight of fly line you choose will depend on the fishing conditions and the fish species you are targeting. If you are fishing for trout in a clear river, you will need a floating fly line in a light weight. If you are fishing for salmon in a fast-flowing river, you will need a sinking fly line in a heavy weight
