Furzebray Fishery

Welcome to the Exclusive Furzebray Specimen Carp Lakes in South Molton, Devon, England. Furzebray's three Exclusive and Premier lakes offer premium Carp fishing, for specimen mirrors and common carp in the South West of England. 


Set in the heart of the tranquil Devon Countryside, surrounded by woodlands and green fields and gardens it offers the Carp Angler one of the best carp fishing and holiday venues in the South West of England. These matured-looking lakes and gardens are home to some of England’s finest strains of Carp, which include Horseshoe and Orchid Lake cross and English Leaney cross, which have been hand-picked by Tony Kingdon.

The Lakes

There is approximately 100 carp present in the Island Lake most of which are over 20lb, 30 + fish over 30lb carp & 7 over 40lb to a lake record of 47lb 4oz. Willow lake is stocked with approximately 150 fish up to 36lb+ and Copse Lake has approximately 50 Carp to 35lb+

The lakes have a wealth of features to challenge the angler, with islands and overhanging trees, bars, and marginal features making it a complete fishing experience and a haven for Carp and wildlife.

The Island lake was built and designed by Tony Kingdon in 2006 and Willow Lake in 2012 and a third lake called Copse has been added in 2015. Tony was a full-time member of staff with Exeter Angling Center for over 10 years before he returned home to create and run the fishery bringing a wealth of coarse and Carp Fishing Knowledge.
